Safe Places

Whitfield's Birmingham 039

£0.00 GBP

Restored to a customers specification. The customers wanted to keep the original colour scheme and add some lettering to the front and inside of the door. They had an old sign which we used for a guide to replicate the design.

The exterior is in its original red/brown colour with a black edge around the front. We used brass enamel for the pin-striping and lettering. We also added a subtle drop shadows to the wording to add more depth to the overall design. The interior is in a muted green to replicate the original colour scheme. The entire safe is finished in a matt lacquer. The locks are fully working with its original key and replacement key made for the inside drawer. All brass is cleaned and polished to our usual high standards.

Please note: Safes of this age, approximately 100years old will show signs of their age and build, even after our restoration. We believe each safe has its own character, and thats what makes them special.  If you purchase one of our safes, its not a NEW safe, they were built without modern tools,  you will see imperfections, ie. the hinges are metal on metal (no bearings) so they may squeak and some may scratch some paintwork at the bottom hinge.
