Safe Places

Chubb's Queen Victoria St, London, 080

£0.00 GBP

Restored to a customers specification. Chubb safes are probably the best built safes i come across. This one was heavy for its size and in pretty good shape. The complexity of the lock mechanism is crazy and no one will ever see it. The lock and back plate must be 35kg on its own.  The new customer wanted the safe to be in a blue colour with a subtle pattern. We came up with a few designs and the customer picked this on, which i think has come out beautiful.

The exterior is painted in dark blue with a grey blue ghost pattern. The inside is in a tam/sand colour which compliments the blue, and we've added some sand suede for a wow factor. The brass has polished up really which shows off the detail on the Chubb handle.

The locks are fully working and supplied with 2 keys for each.

Size: (HxWxD) 560x430x410(+40mm for handle)

Colour: Exterior Ral 5011, 5008 Interior Ral 1001

Weight: 179kg

Design Theme: Restoration to customers brief

Please note: Safes of this age, approximately 100years old will show signs of their age and build, even after our restoration. We believe each safe has its own character, and thats what makes them special.  If you purchase one of our safes, its not a NEW safe, they were built without modern tools,  you will see imperfections, ie. the hinges are metal on metal (no bearings) so they may squeak and some may scratch some paintwork at the bottom hinge.
