Restored to a customers specification
Whittingham safes are early, as the company was acquired by Whitfields round 1886. This is a nice size and has a nice brass plaque. This safe was chosen from my sock and we came up with a designed from the customers brief.
History: C.H. Whittingham & Co. was a British safe manufacturer, later becoming Whitfield's Safe and Door Company around 1886 and then part of the Chatwood-Milner group. The company was known for producing safes, cabinet deed boxes, pad and rim locks. The business eventually merged with other companies and was ultimately acquired by Chubb
