This is a lovely small safe at only 450mm high. Birmingham safe co have a really nice brass plaque, and this safe has the handle and lock all inline. Being small, this safe has no drawer inside so we added a glass shelf.
Im always developing new designs and this one has come out beautiful. It was a lot of work to complete but i think the results speak for themselves. The safe is painted in vintage black with deep red panels, then a darker red pattern is overlayed. A dark shadow is applied around the perimeter of each panel to and depth, then the final gold enamel detail lines are added to complete the design. Many coats of clear lacquer are applied to give the safe its signature gloss finish. The interior has been finished in a deep red suede adding to its overall wow factor.

We believe each safe has its own character, and thats what makes them special. If you purchase one of our safes, its not a NEW safe, they were built without modern tools, you will see imperfections, ie. the hinges are metal on metal (no bearings) so they may squeak and some may scratch some paintwork at the bottom hinge.
History: The Birmingham Safe Company was a small-scale manufacturer active around the turn of the 20th century, primarily producing safes and security boxes in the Midlands region of England. According to available sources, the Birmingham Safe Company Ltd was formed in 1899 and lasted only about seven years before it appears to have ceased operations. This brief lifespan means the company is not as well-documented as some of the larger British safe manufacturers like Chubb, Milner, or Tann, which had significant influence and longevity in the industry.
