History:
Arthur H. Moss was a safe maker based in Gornal, a district known for its industrial history in the West Midlands, England. In the early 20th century, Arthur Moss is recorded as a safe maker living at 5 Church Street, Lower Gornal, and later in Upper Gornal. He was active at least as early as 1901, as evidenced by census records, and a safe made by Arthur H Moss of Gornal is exhibited at the Black Country Museum.
Moss’s safes are notable as artifacts of local craftsmanship, reflecting the Black Country’s industrial heritage.
